Turn HEIC images into JPEG files. We compress every file as we convert it.
3 free HEIC to JPEG conversions per session, max 5 MB eachOr click to browse. 3 free HEIC to JPEG conversions per session, max 5 MB each
iPhones save photos as HEIC, but only Safari shows HEIC in a browser. Windows needs extensions from the Microsoft Store, and many upload forms reject it. A JPEG opens everywhere, and converted here it usually comes out about half the size of the HEIC.

We remove detail you can't see, such as unused colors and hidden metadata. The image looks the same and the file is much smaller.
Web Free converts 3 images per session without an account. Web Ultra has no conversion limit.
Designers, developers, marketers and many more: millions of people use TinyPNG. Together they've shrunk over 9 billion images.
Add HEIC images up to 5 MB each.
Each image comes back as JPEG, usually within seconds.
Save them one by one, or all at once as a ZIP.
The same photo before and after TinyPNG, 1096 × 639 pixels on both sides. Move across the image to compare.
HEIC saves space on your iPhone. JPEG is the format every app, shop and upload form accepts. Keep HEIC on the phone; use JPEG when you share, upload or open photos on Windows.

No. A Live Photo stores its motion in a separate .mov file, so the JPEG is a still image.
Yes. We accept .heif files like .heic, as long as they hold HEVC or AV1 image data.
Usually about half the size of the HEIC you upload, measured on real images converted with TinyPNG. Images that were already compressed save less.
The HEIC was already compressed and JPEG compresses again, so a little detail goes. At normal viewing sizes it is hard to spot.
HEIC stores photos in less space, which is why iPhones use it, but JPG opens everywhere. Converted to JPG here, iPhone photos usually come out about half the size of the HEIC, measured on real images converted with TinyPNG.
To save space: Apple says HEIC compresses better than JPEG at the same visual quality. The catch is compatibility, so you often need a JPG before sharing.
Yes. They are the same format; only the file extension differs. Old Windows only allowed three letters for the file extension, so JPEG became .jpg. Renaming one to the other changes nothing about the file.
Yes, always, even at the highest quality setting. Saving a JPEG again can lose a little more detail, so keep your original.
Add your HEIC photos above, choose JPEG and download the result. It works in your browser on Windows, Mac, iPhone and Android, with nothing to install.
Apple devices open it, and Safari is the only browser that shows it. Windows needs two extensions from the Microsoft Store: the free HEIF Image Extension and the paid HEVC Video Extensions. Despite the name, the HEVC one is what decodes the photo. Or convert it to JPG or PNG here.
Yes. Web Free converts 3 images per session, up to 5 MB each, without an account. Web Pro takes bigger files, and Web Ultra converts as many as you like.
Yes. We store your images encrypted, download links expire after 8 hours, and we delete your images from our servers within 48 hours.
We remove all metadata, such as camera details, GPS location and editing history, to keep files small. Want to keep metadata? Use the developer API: it can keep the copyright, creation date and location.
Convert to the format you need, or keep the one you have and just make it smaller.
