Community plugins
Compress with TinyPNG using community plugins for your platform, build tools or framework.
Analyze your website
Find the heavy images on any page and see what you could save.
Compression removes data you won't see, so the file gets smaller but looks the same. Smaller images make pages load faster, fit under email and upload limits, and take less space on your phone or server. TinyPNG keeps the format and the dimensions, so a compressed image can replace the original directly.

We remove detail you can't see, such as unused colors and hidden metadata. The image looks the same and the file is much smaller.
Web Free takes 20 images per session without an account. Web Pro and Web Ultra have no image limit.
Designers, developers, marketers and many more: millions of people use TinyPNG. Together they've shrunk over 9 billion images.
Add PNG, JPEG, WebP, AVIF, JPEG XL or SVG images up to 5 MB each. iPhone HEIC photos work too.
Each image comes back in its own format, usually within seconds. HEIC photos come back as JPG, so they open everywhere.
Save them one by one, or all at once as a ZIP.
The same photo before and after TinyPNG, 1096 × 639 pixels on both sides. Move across the image to compare.
TinyPNG removes what your eyes can’t see and keeps what they can. The image looks the same and weighs a lot less.

Colors we keep
A photo can hold millions of colors. We merge the ones your eye can’t tell apart, so the file needs fewer bytes to store them.
Every image gets its own settings. Flat graphics and busy photos are compressed in different ways.
Camera data and other metadata you don’t need are removed. Your pixels and dimensions stay exactly the same.
For developers
Compress images in your build pipeline, CMS or app with the Tinify API. The first 500 compressions every month are free.
curl --user api:YOUR_API_KEY \
--data-binary @image.png \
-i https://api.tinify.com/shrinkWeb Pro removes the image limit and takes files up to 75 MB. Web Ultra goes up to 150 MB and adds entire folders.

Add your images above and download the result. It works in your browser on Windows, Mac, iPhone and Android, with nothing to install. Each file comes back in the format you added it in.
Not literally: JPEG and (lossy) PNG compression removes detail, so the result looks the same rather than being pixel-identical. We try to keep as much detail as possible for you.
Yes. Drop them in and they come back as JPG, which opens on every phone, computer and website. They usually come out about half the size of the HEIC, measured on real images converted with TinyPNG. Need another format? Convert HEIC to WebP or HEIC to PNG.
No. A PNG stays a PNG and a WebP stays a WebP. To change the format, use the image converter.
JPG for photos: much smaller, and it opens everywhere. PNG for logos, screenshots and cut-outs: it keeps every pixel and supports transparency. A photo saved as PNG is several times bigger than it needs to be, while flat graphics or art may be much smaller and higher quality with PNG.
Yes. They are the same format; only the file extension differs. Old Windows only allowed three letters for the file extension, so JPEG became .jpg. Renaming one to the other changes nothing about the file.
Yes. Web Free compresses 20 images per session, up to 5 MB each, without an account. Web Pro and Web Ultra raise the limits.
Yes. We store your images encrypted, download links expire after 8 hours, and we delete your images from our servers within 48 hours.
We remove all metadata, such as camera details, GPS location and editing history, to keep files small. Want to keep metadata? Use the developer API: it can keep the copyright, creation date and location.
